The Genius of Photography is a documentary that really captured my interest when I first saw it. I was very hesitant at first since I was still at school and the word "documentary" didn't sound very interesting to me. After convincing myself to watch the beginning, I couldn't look away. 

This documentary talks about the invention and history of photography and it can really offer an insight to the world of photography. It offers a great amount of knowledge about the history of photography, gathered together and presented through a beautiful imagery that will help anyone who is interested in photography have a reference and strong foundations of knowledge for a great beginning. For me, it was also an inspiration :)

The Visual Dictionary

I though I should start by sharing this book that when I first started reading about photography, I found it to be really useful. It's nothing more that the title suggests: The Visual Dictionary of Photography. It has all the terms that anyone who wants to get involved with photography would need to understand the camera and terms used in photography, and sometimes just to understand what other photographers are talking about :) This helped me a lot in the beginning  when I first got involved with photography and did not really know what anything meant. I had to go and purchase this book at the time but I found it online as a pdf and thought I'd share it for anyone who's interested.
